Sediments, a foundation for marine and freshwater ecosystems, may act as both a repository and a transport mechanism for contaminants potentially harmful to the environment. Taylor Engineering is experienced at conducting sound sediment quality evaluations and for developing innovative solutions to solve complex environmental problems.

We provide sediment quality evaluations appropriately scaled to the site characteristics and, if applicable, regulatory requirements. Sediment evaluations range from relatively simple assessments of the nature and extent of contamination to analysis of erosion and sediment transport in coastal waters, lakes, rivers, and streams.

We have provided sediment quality assessments to clients as part of more comprehensive evaluations of potential risk in a wide range of ecosystems and habitats.
