Terrain Development
Terrain development allows GIS, engineering, and environmental staff to visualize and model hydrologic events as well as determine the spatial layout of the landform for design/build projects. Most clients and spatial projects require generation of an accurate representation of the earth before any analysis can take place for existing or future conditions. Taylor Engineering has generated custom tools the Taylor Tackle Box © 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 Taylor Engineering, Inc. and the Taylor Coastal Analyst © 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 Taylor Engineering, Inc. that expedite processing and analysis for the intermediate steps in the terrain development process. These tools allow us to prepare raw elevation data for modeling or examination more efficiently than with out-of-the-box GIS software.
